Fit, cushion and slip resistance

Arch support is stated for the KuaiLu, the Archies and the OOFOS Slate, while the Cushionaire and the OOFOS Black list no arch support. Cushion comes from foam, Oofoam and EVA soles, with platforms stated at 1.75 inches for the KuaiLu and 1.5 inches for the OOFOS Slate. Fit varies by closure: slip-on for four picks and an adjustable double buckle for the Cushionaire.

Only the KuaiLu lists slip resistance, which matters on smooth floors. Water use splits the picks: the OOFOS pair and the Cushionaire list water resistance, the KuaiLu lists pool and swimming uses, and the Archies states it is not water resistant.

Who should not buy these

Anyone who needs a closed shoe for work should skip this list: every pick here is an open-toe slide or flip flop. Anyone who needs a stated warranty should also skip it: every listing points to a warranty information link without giving a term. Anyone who needs a sandal for standing all day should look hardest at the Archies, since it is the only pick that names standing for long periods among its uses.

Score notes

Product Chill Score Perf. /35 Build /25 Value /25 Safety /10 Warranty /5
KuaiLu Recovery Slides 9.6 29 21 20 5 0
Archies Arch Slides 9.5 32 21 21 0 0

OOFOS OOriginal Black 9.4 27 20 20 0 0
CUSHIONAIRE Fame 9.4 26 20 20 0 0

Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score.

The Chill Score weighs performance, build, value, safety and warranty, with safety counted where a listing states a safety feature. Only the KuaiLu earns safety points, for its listed slip resistance. No pick earns warranty points, since no listing states a warranty term.

Check Your Space First

  • Check the floor where the sandals will be worn: only the KuaiLu lists slip resistance.
  • Check wet use: the KuaiLu lists pool and swimming among its uses, while the Archies listing states it is not water resistant.
  • Check the size chart: the Archies and OOFOS listings span women’s and men’s sizes, while the Cushionaire table lists only 10, 11 and 12.
  • Check washing: the OOFOS Slate listing states the sandals are machine washable.

Common questions

Which recovery sandal suits standing all day best?

The Archies suits this use directly, since standing for long periods is among its listed uses, with arch support and a foam sole. The KuaiLu is the alternative for slip resistance, though standing is not among its listed uses.

Do any of these sandals state a warranty?

No. Every listing points to a warranty information link without giving a term, so no pick earns warranty points.

Can these sandals get wet?

The OOFOS pair lists water resistance, and the KuaiLu lists pool and swimming among its uses. The Cushionaire listing also lists water resistance. The Archies states it is not water resistant, so keep that pair dry.

What sizes do these sandals come in?

The Archies and OOFOS listings span women’s and men’s sizes, so check the chart for the right row. The Cushionaire table lists only 10, 11 and 12, and the KuaiLu table lists 7.5, 8.5, 10, 11 and 12.
