Full Body Panels: a quick buyer's checklist

  1. Panel size and LED count. Compare dimensions with your wall or stand, and the maker's stated LED count and arrangement.
  2. Wavelengths. The listing names which red and near-infrared wavelengths are included.
  3. Irradiance and distance. Look for the distance at which the maker measured its figure, since zero-inch numbers say little about real use.
  4. Mounting. Check for a stand, door mount or wall bracket, and whether it is included.
  5. Power and flicker notes. Confirm the power draw and any maker statement about flicker or fan noise.
  6. Warranty and return terms. Panels are costly to ship back, so read the stated period and the shipping policy first.

Panels are large purchases, so documentation and warranty terms matter. Use the eye protection the maker supplies and read our medical disclaimer. A large panel is an expensive way to learn that its output figure was measured at the glass. Compare the distance each maker uses, and prefer listings that state both the figure and the way it was taken. We label all of these as manufacturer-rated.
